The fire in Logan was contained shortly before 7 a.m., according to fire officials on the scene.

A fire has damaged at least four buildings in the downtown district of Logan.

Logan County 911 dispatchers said the fire began early this morning between B and B Loans and the Dollar General on Stratton Street.  The building is said to be a total loss.

The initial call to 911 came in as an explosion.

No injuries have been reported. Dispatchers said that although heavy smoke has been reported, no flames were visible as of 6 a.m.

Officials are calling the fire suspicious.

Those on the scene said three men were seen leaving one of the buildings, which was vacant at the time of the fire. Crews arrived to find the front door of that building wide open.

We have a crew on the scene and we'll bring you more information when it becomes available.
