The Marshall football team is still smarting after their 27-24 loss to rival Ohio on Saturday. Quarterback Rakeem Cato had another big day numbers wise, he threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns. But a late interception sealed the deal for the Bobcats. The young Quarterback is taking this loss hard.
"The team basically put the ball in my hands and I failed them to victory." said Cato, "That won't happen again. We just gotta come out and click on all cylinders. We started fast and ended slow, that's about it." Head Coach Doc Holliday stands behind his QB, "The kid is going to be a good player. I mean at the end of the day there we gotta, again we can't turn it over. But I'm proud of him, he hurts, he's a hurting guy right now. He played his tail off. He's a young guy that he'll learn from it, our entire team will learn from it and we'll get better."
Marshall hits the road Saturday when they travel to Rice.
