University of Charleston hosts free health screenings
The University of Charleston spent part of Friday helping people be healthier.
The public could come in and get free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. The UC School of Pharmacy hosted the event.
Students and staff from the university were on hand to answer questions and provide feedback on a variety of health issues. "Improving your diet, improving your exercise, a lot of these things are lifestyle habits that you can develop early and take these with you throughout your life so you can live a longer and a healthier life," said Jason Hamrick, a pharmacy student at the University of Charleston.
The public is invited to visit the PharmUC patient Care clinic at UC any time to learn about health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and even help to quit smoking.
