West Virginia's Turkey Festival will run Oct. 26-27 in the Hardy County community of Mathias.
This event has promoted the turkey industry in West Virginia since 1955. Activities and attractions include entertainment, ham and turkey dinner on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m., shooting match, arts and crafts, car show, beauty contests and food vendors.
Hours are Friday 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The festival is near Lost River State Park.
