Secretary Janet Napolitano visits WV in wake of 'Superstorm Sandy'
Federal officials toured storm-ravaged areas of West Virginia.
The West Virginia National Guard hosted Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, Senator Joe Manchin, U.S. Representatives Nick Rahall and Shelley Moore Capito, and other state and local officials Saturday afternoon.
Secretary Napolitano was briefed on the recent storm damage and the impact on the state.
Governor Tomblin asked for disaster assistance West Virginia. They are assessing whether this will be possible.
Tomblin talked to representatives from the hardest hit places in the state: Preston, Nicolas, and Randolph counties.
Napolitano took part in the event at the West Virginia National Guard Armory in Charleston.
