St. Mary's Medical Center held its second annual EMS Conference on Tuesday.
They had guest speakers lecturing on the latest advances in emergency medical care and the newest technology available.
It is also a chance for emergency care workers to obtain free continuing education hours and the ultimate goal of better care for patients.
Rhonda Brown, trauma coordinator at St. Mary's Medical Center says, "To keep up with hospitals and new technology that's coming out everyday, you know how that is. Technology changes and there's always new things out there that we can learn, we go back and look at things we've been doing for awhile and constantly changing it to see how we can make it better for the patients, safer for the medics and EMT's."
All emergency medical service employees and first responders from the tri-state were invited.
