First Presbyterian Church of Charleston opens 'Hope Village'
The First Presbyterian Church in Charleston opened its "Hope Village" this week.
It's a global market that featuring handmade goods from around the world. The hope is to help people who are living on 60-cents to a $1.00 per day.
All of the items are handmade from artisans around the world... and every penny goes directly back to them according to the church. "It's being able to send back to the people so they can provide food, and clothing, and shelter for their families. So it's a great honor to be a part of this," said Mary Kay Boyle, Director of Hope Village.
The village is open throughout the year at the First Presbyterian Church in Charleston.
