Woman to be sentenced in nursing home armed robbery
A sentencing hearing for Morgan Marie Mullins is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 10.
Federal prosecutors said Mullins, 26, of Lincoln County pleaded guilty in August to stealing prescription painkillers and other controlled substances from the Teays Valley Center nursing home in Hurricane where she worked. That crime happened in May 2011.
Mullins also admitted that she got away with $3,000 from the City National Bank branch in West Hamlin, Lincoln County.
Prosecutors said Mullins was wearing a clown mask when she stole prescription drugs from the nursing home and was under the influence of drugs when she held up the bank.
She faces at least seven years in prison and a $750,000 fine.
