People gathered at Marshall University Thursday night for a town hall meeting on synthetic drugs.
Members of the Cabell County Substance Abuse Prevention Program sponsored the meeting to keep people informed on the dangers of synthetic marijuana and bath salts.
Huntington and Marshall police attended along with substance abuse prevention members and the public to learn how these drugs affect lives.
Speakers talked about drugs like "K-2", "Spice" and "Bath Salts" and their dangerous side effects.
Organizers say new laws banning the drugs have helped curb drug abuse of those drugs.
