WV Hunting and Fishing Show draws thousands to Charleston
The WV Hunting and Fishing Show has come to town, drawing droves of people to the Charleston Civic Center.
The West Virginia Trophy Hunters Association has put on the event for the past 27 years.
More than 200 vendors are set up at the Charleston Civic Center.
Nearly 15,000 people are expected to attend the event throughout the weekend.
Organizers said the expo attracts people (and their wallets) from across the state.
"It's great for the local hunters and fisherman and the ladies and anyone that has anything to do with outdoor activities. There's something for everyone here," said Glen Jarrell, a spokesperson for the WV Trophy Hunters Association.
The WVTHA donates a portion of proceeds from admission fees to local wildlife and conservation charities.
The expo will be open until 9 p.m. Saturday, and between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
