A woman who asked for - and received a second chance to tell her story could be headed back to prison.
Rhonda Stewart pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the shooting death of her husband, Sammy in a Kanawha County courtroom.
Prosecutors said Stewart shot Sammy in the head back in 2009 while he was lying in a bed at CAMC Memorial in Charleston.
She was convicted of first degree murder later that year but the Supreme Court overturned that conviction after she said she was abused.
Kanawha County Prosecutor Mark Plants said his office reached the deal to avoid a jury possibly finding her not guilty.
Stewart will be sentenced on March 19 and faces up to 40 years in prison. Stewart, who is currently on home confinement, could serve her sentence at home.
