A tip of a possible meth lab led West Virginia State Police to a home along Hope Lane in Charleston Saturday night.

Troopers conducted a search and found a shake and bake style meth lab in the garage.

They later entered the home and found evidence that meth was being used inside, according to a criminal complaint.

Troopers said they observed three small children in the home that were under the age of five.

According to the criminal complaint officers believed that meth being used inside could cause serious risk of injury to the children.

Troopers said they also located several bottles containing pseudophedrine that had been altered inside the bottles.

Dewey Wickline, Forest Goldsburg, and James Tidwell were arrested and face charges of attempting to operate a clandestine met lab, and conspiracy, and child neglect and were transported to South Central Regional jail.

Troopers notified Child Protective Services. The children were transported to Charleston Area Medical Center's Women's and Children's Hospital.
