A tractor-trailer smashed into the 20th Street viaduct Sunday night.
The driver says he was hauling bags of carbon from California to the Calgon in Huntington and as he was going under the viaduct, his truck slammed to a stop and was stuck under the viaduct.
The trailer was severely damaged.
Workers used smaller trucks to remove the carbon bags so they could then get the trailer out.
The driver said the load he was hauling weighed more than 41,000 pounds.
Traffic was blocked for several hours.
The driver said he did not see any signs that sowed a height limit and says he was told there have been several trucks stuck there in the past.
No one was injured.
