Girl Scout cookies have arrived in Kanawha County

Posted: Updated:

The Girl Scout cookies have arrived! Troops unloaded boxes of Samoas, Tagalongs and Thin Mint cookies were unloaded in Kanawha County on Friday.

Dunbar Girl scout Troop 2384 unloaded a U-haul truck that was filled with various cookies. Last year, the girls were the top Sellers in the Black Diamond council. So far, they've sold more than 12,000 boxes of cookies in 2013.

All of their hard work earns them money towards a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. "I'm very proud because, we have accomplished a lot and I guess I'm just happy," said Essence Lee, a member of the troop. Mala Whiting said, "I believe we are still the top seller in Kanawha County. So I am just proud my troop is the number one."
