Two new members have joined the board of directors of the Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic: Julie R. Shank and Melissa B. Knott.
Shank is an associate attorney at Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love office in Martinsburg. She earned her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law and previously served as clerk for Judge Christopher C. Wilkes.
She is a member of Bowles Rice's business litigation group.
Shank will fill a one-year vacancy on the board and will serve as the chairwoman for the board's risk management committee.
Knott is a branch manager for City National Bank in Charles Town. She grew up in England and moved to Jefferson County in 2005. She has been active in community events and local non-profit organizations.
She completed Leadership Jefferson and served as the executive director for Birthright and Friends in Action of the Eastern Panhandle. She began volunteering at the Free Clinic in 2006. She will fill a two-year term on the board and will lead the fund development committee.
