Three men are in the Greenup County Detention Center facing several drug-related charges, because of a tip from a neighbor. Mark C. Porter, 46, and Adam Clifton, 25, were arrested when deputies showed up at their home on Argillite Rd., and discovered a fully active meth lab. According to the release, 23-year-old Christopher Jenkins of Greenup showed up to purchase some meth while deputies were at the home. Jenkins was arrested, and charged with conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance. Porter was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and wanton endangerment. The wanton endangerment charge was filed because there are children living in the residence above Porter and Clifton's home.
Clifton is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and promoting contraband.
