A 74-year-old woman was attacked by dogs while taking a walk down her road.
Emmabell Easter, of Lucasville, left her home the afternoon of March 10 to take a walk along Crowe Hollow Road when she was attacked by a pack of dogs.
Easter suffered multiple injuries including an eight inch gash to her arm and "from her left ear to the middle of her head to the crown of her head, the skin had been ripped off her," according to the criminal complaint given to 13News by the Scioto County Sheriff's Office.
The dogs owner, Vernon Delay, was cited by the dog warden that day for failure to confine and failure to register. He had been cited three other times from 1998 to 2009 for failure to confine and/or register his dogs, according to court documents.
A man and woman told deputies they saw Emmabell walking and then saw several dogs knock her down, jump on her and tear "into her flesh." The man then began to kick the dogs to protect her.
