Arrest made in Greenup County Stabbing

An arrest has been made after a Wednesday night stabbing in Greenup County. 

Reece Frasure, 50, of South Shore, has been charged with first degree assault after stabbing a man in Firebrick just before 11 p.m., according to officials with the Greenup County Detention Center. 

The man suffered stab wounds to the abdomen and was flown to a local hospital. An update on his condition has not been released. 

The Greenup County Sheriff's Department said they will be releasing a statement sometime Thursday.

Greenup county, Kentucky emergency dispatchers say a person was stabbed Wednesday night.

Dispatchers say a call came in about a stabbing at 27 Micah's Walk in Firebrick near the Lewis county line just before 11 p.m..

They say a man was flown to an area hospital with stab wounds to the abdomen.

Police are searching for a suspect reported to be a man wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt who fled on foot.
