Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning tells 13 News Jimmy Alexander has been found and is at home and safe with his family.
Tuesday morning, Alexander's sons were called and they picked him up in Waverly.
Sheriff Browning says Alexander ran out of gas and started to walk.
Someone saw Alexander and helped him get in contact with his family.
Alexander was reported missing yesterday after he didn't return to his home on Keystone Road following an appointment.

Jimmy Alexander left home in the Keystone road area of Vinton, Ohio, to go to an appointment earlier Monday and failed to return home, according to an alert from the sheriff's department released on Monday evening.
Alexander is driving a green 1999 Buick with four doors and his license plate reads FOL6129. Family members last spoke to Alexander on the phone in the area of Waverly, Ohio, according to the mobile alert.
Alexander is approximately 5'11" and weights 190 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
