Leadership West Virginia has hired Kate Reed as its first alumni coordinator. The native West Virginian most recently served as executive director of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.
Reed will coordinate the more than 1,000 alumni of the 22-year-old leadership organization, which is affiliated with the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
Reed is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned a master's degree from George Washington University's School of Political Management. She has worked in business development, consulting, fundraising, campaign work and event planning.
Leadership West Virginia is a statewide education and leadership development program. In each eight-month class, emerging leaders from a variety of employers throughout West Virginia come together to enhance their knowledge of the challenges facing the state as well as the state's unique attributes and diversity.
