Huntington Police seize more than $9,000 in heroin

HUNTINGTON, WV -
More than $9,000 in heroin is now off the streets with the work of officers with the Huntington Police Department.
Daniel M. Flowers, 42, of Detroit, Mi., was arraigned Thursday in Cabell County Magistrate Court. Flowers' home on 12th Avenue was searched on April 8 by members of the Drug Task Force, according to court documents.
Officers found more than 90 grams of heroin. More than 70 grams of heroin were found wrapped in individual baggies in a knit cap which had been thrown out a window of the apartment.
Officers were called to the apartment due to drug activity and say they also had prior information of Flowers dealing heroin in the Huntington area.
Flowers is currently in the Western Regional Jail. Bail is set at $125,000.
