The State Government Career Fair kicked off today 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
The West Virginia Division of Personnel and WorkForce WV teamed up to sponsor the 2nd annual career fair at the Culture Center on the Capitol Campus.
The event is open to everyone and is aimed at providing job seekers with information on state government employment openings, specifically in critical areas. Some of the areas that need personnel the most are nursing, social services, engineering, corrections and law enforcement, natural resources, environmental protection, human resources and information technology.
More than 15 state agencies will be at the Culture Center until 3 p.m. to discuss employment opportunities. Employment counselors will be on-hand to answer questions about the state employment application process.
Anyone interested is encouraged to bring their resume, proper identification and other information they feel helps qualify them for a position.
For more information on the fair or for directions call the Division of Personnel at 304-558-3950 or visit this link.
