A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing late Tuesday night.
Charleston Police have charged James William Martin, 56, with malicious wounding.
Police said Martin stabbed another man on the 900-block of First Avenue just before 11 p.m. The victim went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Martin will be arraigned by a magistrate judge later this morning.
One man landed in the hospital Tuesday night after he was stabbed on Charleston's West Side, according to Charleston Police.
Police responded to the call just after 11 p.m. Officers said an argument between two men escalated on someone's front yard on the 900-block of First Avenue. One man then stabbed the other in the torso region.
Police said paramedics transported the man to CAMC General with non-life threatening injuries.
The officer said the men, who were acquaintances, were fighting over home repairs.
Police recovered three items at the scene. They are unsure which instrument the suspect used to stab the other man.
Police said they are currently questioning the suspect, who is cooperating with the investigation.
