A man and a woman are behind bars after officers say they saw them making a drug deal at a local fast-food restaurant Thursday.
Bryan Michael Adams, 22, of Huntington, and Courtney Daniel Baylous, 22, of Salt Rock, are charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, according to court documents.
Officers with the Barboursville Police Department say Adams and Baylous, still in the car, crossed the center line on Route 60. Officers pulled them over and that is when they say they could see two wrapped packages, a pill bottle and other possible drug paraphernalia lying in the back floor board of their car.
Officers say they believe it is black tar heroin.
Adams and Baylous were taken to the Western Regional Jail. Bail is set at $50,000 for both. They are scheduled to appear in Cabell County Magistrate Court May 16.
Adams and Baylous are facing up to 15 years in prison.
