Cabell county schools are looking for ways to bring farm-fresh foods to school cafeterias.
Farmers and school officials met at Milton elementary Monday night to discuss ways of getting their crops to the tables.
The program is called "Farm to School" and is a way of buying fruits and vegetables from local farms as a way of making better meals for students.
School officials say they are excited about the program and hope they can work out details with the farms on what foods can go on the menu as they ripen in the fields.
They say they hope its a way everyone can benefit and hope to have more meetings in the future.
