Two men from Tornado were arrested in Saint Albans just after noon Saturday for trying to cash a stolen check at the BB&T bank's drive-thru.
St. Albans police say the pair drove up to the drive-thru window only to find the grandmother of one of the men had reported the check stolen earlier in the day.
Michael Atkins and Dustin Rutledge are charged with forgery and uttering. Police say it was Atkins' grandmother who reported to her bank that the check was stolen.
It is believed a check was successfully cashed on Friday.
Atkins and Rutledge are being held at South Central Regional Jail on $25,000 bond each.
