    The West Virginia Autism Training Center is expanding its reach in the state. WV ATC, located at Marshall University in Huntington, has partnered with Concord University to develop on-campus support in Athens for students who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

The Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Monongalia have begun accepting nominations for the 2013-2014 version of their program.

The chamber has operated Leadership Monongalia for the past 16 years to be a public affairs and leadership development program.

The program looks for a diverse group of leaders to use their talents and abilities to spread energy, enthusiasm and vitality throughout the county.

Leadership Monongalia has provided community development and leadership training to more than 300 members of Morgantown's businesses, institutions and government. Graduates include current and past members of Morgantown City Council, leadership of West Virginia University, state legislators and individuals who serve in several other elected, management and volunteer capacities.

Self-nominations are accepted, and all nominations are due Aug. 1, 2013.
