The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development approved funding for Mingo County. A Water and Waste Disposal Loan of $1,500,000 and Grant of $991,000 for Mingo County Public Service District.

Construction will include approximately 11 miles of waterline, one water storage tank, one booster station, and various appurtenances.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development also approved a Community Facilities Grant for a Nicholas County group.
FriendsRFun Child Development Center, Inc. will receive $5,000. Rural Development funds will be used to assist in the purchase of new multi-use and multi-age level equipment to promote outdoor physical activity. The new equipment will accommodate 5, 12 year olds.
