According to police, the body of a deceased female found behind the Hobby Lobby store in Russell, KY has been tentatively identified as Mary C. Dixon of South Shore, KY.
Police say Dixon had been missing since 10:30 p.m. on June 26.
The Russell Police Department, with the help of the Bellefonte and Flatwoods police departments, conducted an investigation, in which 30-year-old Arthur R. Quigley of Kitts Hill, Ohio, was arrested in Eldorado, Ohio.
Quigley was arrested by the Preble County Sheriff's Office, who were accompanied by Detective Adam Davis and Chief Tim Wilson of the Russell Police Department.
Quigley is being charged with the murder of Dixon, and according to police, will be extradited to Kentucky in the near future.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Detectives from the Russell Police department were called out for a report of a body found near the Hobby Lobby on Diederich Boulevard late Saturday afternoon.
No confirmation on the person's identity was released however police were alerted to a missing person who was last Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. at the Subway store near the shopping center on Diederich Boulevard.
Friday, Russell Police reached out for help in locating 40-year-old Mary Dixon. There was concern she may have been in danger. Family members say it was not normal behavior for Dixon since she cares for a special needs son.
Police say Dixon is employed at the Subway and was closing the store according to employees who last saw her before she turned up missing.
Police were hesitant to say if the person died of suspicious reasons since it is early in the investigation. They have to contact family members before they can release a positive identification.
