While traveling along West Bailey Road, Athens County Sheriff come upon a white Ford Ranger with two male and a female sitting on the side of the road in an area known for dumping and other illegal activity.
While approaching the vehicle, deputies observed one of the males tearing something off of one of the two boxes in the bed of the truck and tossed it.
When asked about the two boxes, the men said they had brought them at Rinks in Marietta, and upon further inspection deputies observed a sticker indicating the boxes came from Walmart.
Deputies then spoke to the second male who admitted that the power washers were stolen from Walmart in Athens.
Deputies then called the Athens Walmart location and they did confirm the power washers were stolen, and the suspects were seen on camera leaving the store with them.
Ronald Hogue was arrested and charged with theft and tampering with evidence for trying to destroy the labels on the boxes to keep deputies from locating their origin.
James Kisor, was also arrested on the charge of complicity since admitting to taking Hogue to Walmart knowing he was going to steal something.
