A new law went into effect Monday stating you can't text or talk on the cell phone without a hands-free device.
According to the bill, you can dial to make calls and answer them, but you have to go hands-free afterward.
You can use devices like Bluetooth or even speaker phone to go hands-free.
The fine for being caught texting or calling without a hands-free device is $100, the second offense is $200, and the 3rd offense is $300, according to the bill.
You are allowed to use GPS.
