UPDATE: Father and son arrested on meth charges after traffic stop in Charleston
WVRJA: Cody and James Jones
Two men arrested after a traffic stop on July 1 are facing more charges now that police have searched their home.
Police served a warrant on the men's home and found meth making materials and processed meth. Troopers say it is a coincidence they pulled the men over and had planned to serve the search warrant on the home before that arrest.
A father and son are facing meth related charges after a routine traffic stop.
State police pulled over James and Cody Jones on Berry Hills Drive Monday night.
Troopers said the pair was driving a Dodge Caravan with an expired license plate. Once troopers pulled them over, they smelled a strong chemical odor coming from the vehicle, authorities said.
Troopers searched the Caravan and found a black backpack with meth making materials inside, they said.
Both men were recently arrested on meth related charges and out on bond at the time they were pulled over.
They are in the South Central Regional Jail.
