The town of Ripley claims to be the home of the largest small town Independence Day Celebration in America.
The Independence Day Celebration dates back to the 1800s. Over the years it has become a beloved tradition.
The Fourth of July parade this year included a number of military groups, bands, organizations and floats.
One float, in particular, was a replica of the statue in the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. It was entitled "Stands Up for the Constitution". The model of Lincoln became about 18 feet tall when he stood up. The float was designed to move was built by members of the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Other festivities included live music and fireworks.
