Stormy weather scatters storage units into Guyandotte River
Storage units fell into the Guyandotte River over the weekend.
It was quite a scene at Route 60 Storage in Huntington. Stormy weather sent the storage units and the items inside them, all over the place. Some of the units were on the banks of the river.
A person who said he lost items stored in one of the units was upset about the situation. "My stuff is over the bank and un-retrievable. They are telling us that they don't have insurance and that it's going to be our loss," said Greg Rowe.
Officials at Route 60 storage said the business does have flood insurance, but the owners said they won't know exactly how they plan to move forward until they speak with city and county officials.
