Drug raid leads to arrest in Huntington; 6 others detained by police
A man is in jail and six others were detained by Huntington police on Friday evening during a drug raid.
The raid came after detectives said they received nearly three dozen phone calls about possible drug activity at the house in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue. The tips paved the way for investigators to get arrest and search warrants, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department.
During the raid, officers detained seven people. Among them, Kenneth Walker, was arrested. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Members of the SWAT team said they found 12 grams of heroin, three grams of marijuana, prescription medications, a 40 caliber handgun, $12,000 in cash and a car.
An investigation continues.
