WV National Guard using 2013 National Boy Scouts Jamboree as training exercise
The 130th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard is leading a training event during the 2013 National Boy Scouts Jamboree. Sentry Storm is designed to highlight the unique military training areas and opportunities that are available in West Virginia.
Events will run from July 15-19 and will include Air National Guard units from five states as well as Army National Guard and Army Reserve units.
Events will take place in Kanawha, Preston, Clay, Monongalia, Nicholas, Logan, Raleigh, Mingo, Greenbrier and Berkeley Counties. Training will include aircraft incident search and recovery, base defense training, tactical aircraft approach and landings, and aircraft formation flights with low level aerial navigation and air drops.
