UPDATE: The Cabell County Sheriff's Office announced they arrested William Farley in connection to a robbery that happened Friday afternoon.
Farley will be charged with felony bank robbery. The robbery happened Friday afternoon at the City National Bank on Route 60 in Bourboursville. The suspect ran towards West Pea Ridge after the robbery. Deputies say he showed tellers a handgun and was able to steal an undisclosed amount of money.
The gun used in the robber and the money was recovered. Farley is currently in the Western Regional Jail.
A man is on the run after showing bank tellers a gun and getting away with cash at a Barboursville bank.
Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas tells 13 News a man wearing a black hoodie, white cargo shorts and white tennis shoes left City National Bank on Route 60 running south towards West Pea Ridge Friday afternoon.
The suspect showed tellers a handgun and was able to steal an undisclosed amount of money. The Barboursville Police Department bloodhound and the Cabell County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit are tracking the suspect.
Sheriff McComas said individuals should avoid the suspect and call 911 immediately if they see him. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's department.
An armed robbery was reported at the City National Bank on Route 60 in Barboursville at about 1:00 p.m. today.
According to dispatchers with the West Virginia State Police, a man wearing a black hoodie, white cargo shorts, and white shoes robbed the bank. The suspect left the scene on foot and was last seen on the 5600 block of Route 60 heading towards West Pea Ridge.
Officers with the West Virginia State Police, Barboursville police and deputies with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
