An underage man was arrested Monday after driving under the influence and fleeing from officers.
Michael L. Pinkerman, 20, of Ona, was traveling at a high speeds when officers initiated a traffic stop, which Pinkerman ignored, according to court documents. Pinkerman continued to drive before he wrecked into a tree at Spencer Avenue and Long Street in Barboursville.
Pinkerman put his vehicle in reverse, almost hitting the police cruiser, and drove another block before he hit the cruiser head-on. Pinkerman's BAC was .148.
He was transported to Western Regional Jail where he faces up to five years in prison.
