When the Sissonville Indians kickoff this season, they'll look a little different.
"I think they're pretty cool this year," said senior OL/ILB Logan Crain. "I like them. The whole team likes them.
Crain is referring to the new look jerseys.
"We liked the way it looked. We liked the way it matches," added Crain.
And maybe the new fashion statement will translate to a statement on the field.
"I hope so. I hope it makes them play better, we'll see," said Sissonville head coach, Eddie Smolder. "It is what it is. They're excited about it, and we just hope they have a good year.
The best part of new jerseys for the team? The camo theme.
"Favorite part? They're camo," said Crain.
"It's pretty cool, no one else has them," said senior OL/DL Joey Beane.
The jerseys were an unanimous choice for the team. It's a look that satisfies many parts of the community.
"A lot of our kids like to hunt and fish. Also, it's a representation of our military. It's kind of a combination of the two - hunting and fishing and supporting the military," said Smolder.
With the kickoff to the season approaching, so is the excitement of the new uniforms.
