Couple arrested for drug trafficking, weapons charges in Gallia County, Ohio

A husband and wife are in jail for drug trafficking and weapons charges in Gallia County, Ohio.
According to police, in a joint effort with both the Gallia and Meigs County sheriffs, deputies made a drug trafficking and weapons arrest at 2 a.m. Saturday at a home located at Zuspan Hollow Rd., which is along the Gallia and Meigs County line.
Police say that two Gallia County residents, Dennis C. Butcher,and his wife, Tammy L. Butcher, were arrested and charged with complicity to drug trafficking and possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, and having a weapon under disability.
Deputies seized over 100lbs of packaged marijuana and over $750,000 in cash from the search.
According to Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning, the "investigation into drug trafficking in both counties will continue as the tie in with theft and burglaries is obvious with such high proceeds being located ".
Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood said that "the joint effort between the two sheriff's office's is a direct result of information sharing, with a common goal of stopping the drug trafficking and thefts in our area".
