Antonio LeJune Wade arrested for arson in Beckley, WV
CHARLESTON, WV -
According to a news release issued by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin, Antonio LeJune Wade, 30, plead guilty Thursday, January 2, in which he set fire to clothing, and placed it underneath the apartment stairway, and setting it on fire, in August 2013. The apartment belonged to an acquaintance and a toddler.
The news release says that Wade will be sentenced on April 2, 2014, and is facing a minimum of five years in prison.
A Beckley man is behind bars after Charleston police said he set fire to his girlfriend's apartment.
Antonio LeJune Wade, 29, of Beckley, is charged with arson. Police said he took his clothes, set them on fire, and placed them under the entry steps of his girlfriend's home over the weekend.
April Woods, who lives at 2606 Sixth Avenue Apt. B was not injured in the blaze. However, the steps to her home were significantly damaged by the flames.
Wade is currently being held in jail with bail set at $5,000.
