One woman died after a rollover wreck in Braxton County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
A four-door Mercury was traveling southbound on I-79, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and rolled over. A woman in her mid-20s was ejected, then became pinned between the asphalt and the car.
Another male was riding in the car at the time of the wreck. Medics transported him to Braxton Memorial Hospital. He is in critical condition.
The Braxton County Sheriff's Department is investigating the wreck.
A rollover accident has closed down a portion of I-79, according to Braxton County, WV dispatchers.
A vehicle overturned just before noon Tuesday, shutting down the northbound lanes of I-79 between Sutton and Flatwoods.
Emergency responders are at the scene. Dispatchers could not say whether anyone was injured.
