An important piece of military history is moving through the waters of the region.
The USS LST-325 is a World War II-era ship, which was used in the D-Day invasion of Europe. It's also been used in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
LST is military speak for 'Landing Ship Tank'.
These ships carried troops, trucks, and tracks.
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Charleston on Thursday morning. It will spend Labor Day weekend docked at Haddad Riverfront Park. The ship will be open for tours from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. until Monday.
The tours are around 45 minutes long. Prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children between 6-17. Children under 5 are free. Families of two adults and two children are $20.
The ship's next Port of Call is Ashland when it leaves Charleston on Tuesday.
