    The West Virginia Autism Training Center is expanding its reach in the state. WV ATC, located at Marshall University in Huntington, has partnered with Concord University to develop on-campus support in Athens for students who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

The Beckley Area Derby Dames Roller Derby will host "Concord University Night," Sept. 14 at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center located on Armory Drive in Beckley.

The Beckley Area Derby Dames, or BADD, is a skater-owned and operated women's flat track roller derby team. The team is finishing its second season at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center and Concord graduate Stephanie Stover is the team captain.

As part of the promotion, Concord University students with proper ID will be able to purchase tickets for $8 ahead of time or $10 at the door. The normal ticket prices are $10 early and $12 at the door.

The doors will open at 6 p.m., and the starting bell will ring at 7 p.m.
