Former WVU Football player D'Vante Henry pleaded guilty to first degree sexual abuse.
Monongalia County Sheriff's Department arrested Henry in September of 2013 for second-degree sexual assault.
Henry was suspended indefinitely from the WVU football team after his arrest.
Henry faces one to five years in prison with a $10,000 dollar fine and court fees.
A sentencing date has not been set.
A former West Virginia University football player accused of sexual assault was in court Friday.
The criminal complaint said a woman has accused D'Vante Henry of entering her apartment and forcing her to have sex with him.
Magistrate Darris Summers appointed an attorney for Henry and the lawyer asked Summers to reduce Henry's $100,000 bail.
Summers reduced the bail to $50,000 and home confinement at Henry's apartment in Morgantown.
Henry remains in the North Central Regional Jail.
