West Virginia State falls in home opener, remains winless

The weather conditions were less than ideal as West Virginia State (0-3, 0-2) dropped their home opener to West Liberty University, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Three Bryan Arbes field goals were enough to give West Liberty University the victory.

Both teams battled the rainy conditions throughout the game.

It was especially hard for the Yellow Jackets to get the offense rolling.  Quarterback Tyler Seals was just 5-of-13 for 32 yards.  He also threw two interceptions.

West Virginia State University looks to pick up their first win next Saturday as they are on the road against Fairmont State University.
