Customers complain about not getting refunds after Charleston, WV business shuts down

Sun Kiss Tan in Kanawha City shut its doors at the end of August. One customer said she did not get a refund for over $100. She said she attempted to contact the owner, but could not get in touch with her.
A sign on Sun Kiss Tan location had a number to dial for information along with the owner's name, Jennifer Ingram.
Ingram said that in all, there were 400 refunds that had to be handed out and that 300 of them are already in the mail. When it comes to the complaints of her being unavailable and avoiding calls, Ingram said she works during the day. She did admit that her employees sold tanning packages up until a couple of days prior to closing, and said she wished that didn't happen, but that she did not spend time in the business often.
One woman who did not want to be identified, said she went in just days prior to the business closing its doors. "They told me it wouldn't be a good idea to buy a tanning package. It really confused me," she said. She said they did not tell her the business was closing, just that the hours were changing.
For now, Ingram says, refunds are on the way. If you haven't received one, she said to email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She said that's the fastest way to make sure you get your money back.
I called the Attorney General's Office Monday, they said if you have a complaint regarding any business in our region, to call the consumer protection division, at 1-800-368-8808.
