Meigs County Sheriff arrests four people on drug charges
Meigs County Sheriff's Department were called to assist an Ohio Department of Natural Resourse of Wildlife Officer at the Old Town Creek Wildlife Area for a traffic stop Thursday.
While questioning the suspects Wildlife Officers and Deputies found a mobile meth lab, along with other drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies arrested and charged Patricia McFall and Whitney Laughlin with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of chemicals to produce methamphetamine, and possession of methamphetamine.
Meigs County Sheriff's Department made a traffic stop along State Route 7 of a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle involved in an active breaking and entering case.
During the investigation deputies learned that the vehicle was not involved, but the driver of the vehicle had a felony warrant out of Gallia County.
After searching the vehicle deputies found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded gun. Leslie Storms was arrested and taken to Gallia County on the warrant, but is still facing pending drug and weapon charges. Also arrested was Storm's passenger Zachary Matthew for possession of drug abuse instruments.
Meigs County Sheriff's Department is also investigating a meth lab that was found at the Old Fort Meigs Campground. No one was home at the residence, and charges are pending.
