The names of the victims in a fatal pedestrian accident, which happened in Barboursville, WV on Oct. 1, have been released.
According to the Barboursville Police Dept., Edward Alexander McElroy, 77, and Brenda McElroy, 70, were struck and killed by a vehicle in front of the Outback restaurant near the Huntington Mall.
Both McElroys were from the United Kingdom.
Police say charges will not be pursued in the incident.
Barboursville police say the two pedestrians killed are adults.
Police say Route 60, eastbound from the West Mall exit to the Eastgate Shopping Plaza was closed, but has since re-opened.
Cabell County 911 dispatchers are on scene of double fatality pedestrian accident in Barboursville, WV.
The accident happened at 8:15 p.m. this evening in front of the Outback restaurant located at the Huntington Mall.
Dispatcher could not confirm how the accident happened.
