HUNTINGTON, WV -
Huntington Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident that happened October 10, 2013.
Cantrell D. Foreman, 21, of Huntington was arrested around 5:30 p.m. for the shooting of Christopher Jones
According to Huntington Police, this was a result of a domestic situation between Foreman and Jones. Foreman has been arraigned and housed at the West Virginia Regional Jail. He has no prior arrests or history of criminal activity with Huntington Police.
Detectives with the Huntington Police Dept. are investigating a Thursday morning shooting.
Detectives say Christopher A. Jones, 25, was shot several times in a home on 11th Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. According to a release from the Huntington Police Dept., Jones is recovering at a local hospital.
According to police, Jones' girlfriend and her young son were also in the apartment when the unknown suspect shot Jones in his bed.
Lt. John Williams of the Huntington Police Department, says the child was in another room, and was not harmed.
No suspects have been named in the shooting, and suspect information is limited.
Huntington Police confirmed Jones was one of two men that started a brief, but tense, standoff at a home on Sycamore Street on July 7th.
Police say that afterward, guns and drugs were seized.
We have not learned of any connection between the July 7th incident and Thursday's.
